Applications of BBa_K2760021

The aplication of this signal peptide is meant to be attached to a recombinant protein in order for their secretion to occur, it also has a reporter protein with a His-Tag attached for purification and monitoring.

This particular construct was meant to serve for the characterization of the SP2-NSP2 signal peptide, as it has a reporter protein and a His-Tag on that same protein.

The team iGEM18 Tec GDL managed to run western blots and electrophoresis as a way to characterize this construct (http://2018.igem.org/Team:TecMonterrey_GDL/GeneticE). Since it has a His-Tag, it was detected on the Western Blot assays.
